Integrated systems, folded to fit

The work of Syhan Group Co., Limited divides into six service packages. Each one is delivered as a defined unit with its own scope, deliverables and handover record, and each one connects cleanly to the others so that a client can take a single package or the whole run.

Systems Integration Consultancy

Integration problems are rarely solved by buying a product. They are solved by understanding what the site already does and where the new system must connect. Our consultancy starts with a full survey of existing plant, drawings, network routes and operator habits. We document every controller, every sensor and every point at which one system hands data to another, then build an integration plan that treats those handover points as named, owned responsibilities rather than vague assumptions.

The deliverables are practical rather than decorative: a system architecture diagram, an interface schedule listing every protocol and data rate, a bill of materials that a contractor can price directly, and a staged implementation plan that allows the premises to keep operating while work proceeds. Where legacy equipment must be retained, we specify the gateways and converters needed to bring it into the new architecture without forcing an unnecessary replacement.

  • Site survey and existing systems audit
  • Interface and protocol schedule
  • Architecture drawings and staged build plan
  • Priced bill of materials for tender

Control Panel Assembly

Control panels are the folded edges of a system: the place where design becomes a physical, touchable object. We assemble panels on the bench in our Kwun Tong workshop, working strictly to drawing. Enclosures are laid out to give every device room to breathe and to be serviced, wiring is routed in defined ducts, and every core is ferrule labelled at both ends. Power distribution, protection devices, terminal blocks and interfaces are fitted and torqued to specification.

Before a panel leaves the bench it is point to point tested against the drawing. Every input and output is simulated or looped, every indication is verified and the results are recorded on a test sheet that travels with the panel. This bench discipline means that site time is spent connecting and commissioning rather than diagnosing wiring faults, and it means a panel can be rebuilt or extended later by anyone holding the original documentation.

  • Bench layout and wiring to drawing
  • Full ferrule labelling and core scheduling
  • Point to point testing with recorded results
  • Test sheets and panel documentation issued with each build

Data Cabling and Containment

The physical layer is the skeleton of any integrated system, and it deserves to be designed rather than improvised. We plan structured cabling, cable tray, trunking, baskets and conduit as one continuous route from source to destination, sized for the cables it must carry and for the access it will need during maintenance. Routes are set away from heat, water and heavy electrical noise, and bends are kept within the limits the cable standard demands.

Installation is followed by testing. Copper links are certified to the relevant category and fibre is tested and cleaned at every termination. The results become part of a link record, with each outlet given a permanent identifier that appears both physically on the faceplate and in the documentation. That record turns a future fault into a short, targeted job rather than a full scale hunt through undocumented cabling.

  • Structured cabling design and installation
  • Tray, basket, trunking and conduit containment
  • Certification testing of copper and fibre links
  • Labelled outlets and permanent link records

Monitoring and Telemetry Builds

A system that cannot report its own condition is a system that must be watched by people. We build monitoring and telemetry layers that give plant a clear voice. That begins with sensor selection and placement: temperature, pressure, flow, level, power and status points are chosen for the questions they answer, not for the length of the catalogue. Signals are gathered through gateways and controllers and normalised so that the same dashboard can present equipment from different makers.

The visible result is a set of screens and reports that operators actually use. Alarms are banded by severity and tuned so that a nuisance trip does not drown a genuine fault. Historical data is stored and trended, which allows maintenance to be planned around real wear rather than around a fixed calendar. Where remote sites are involved, we design the communication path carefully, including what happens during a temporary loss of connection.

  • Sensor selection, placement and wiring
  • Gateway configuration and protocol normalisation
  • Operator dashboards, alarms and trend history
  • Remote site communication design

Maintenance Contracting

Integration does not end at handover. Panels gather dust, sensors drift, batteries fade and networks change. A maintenance contract keeps an installed system performing at the standard it was commissioned to. We offer planned inspection visits at a defined rhythm, during which we check terminations, test standby supplies, verify calibration, review alarm logs and clear the small faults that would otherwise grow into outages.

Contracts are written in plain terms. They state the response window for a reported fault, the spare parts held for the site, the reporting format the client will receive and the escalation path when an issue needs more than a routine visit. Because we hold the original drawings and test sheets, a maintenance engineer arrives already knowing how the system was built, which shortens diagnosis and reduces the risk of a repair that quietly contradicts the original design.

  • Planned inspection and calibration visits
  • Defined fault response windows
  • Site specific spares holding
  • Written reporting and escalation paths

Technical Drawing Packages

Drawings are how a system outlives the people who built it. We issue a controlled package covering schematics, panel general arrangements, cable schedules, containment routing and as-built records. Each sheet carries a title block with a revision mark, so that a site team can tell at a glance whether the drawing in hand is the current one. The package is produced as both digital files and, where a client prefers, printed sheets for the plant room.

As work proceeds and the installed reality shifts from the original intent, the package is updated. Marked up field changes are folded back into the master set at the next revision, and superseded sheets are withdrawn rather than left to circulate. The result is a document trail that keeps design, installation and maintenance speaking the same language for the whole life of the asset.

  • Schematics and panel general arrangements
  • Cable schedules and containment routing plans
  • As-built records and revision control
  • Digital files with printed sets on request

How a project moves through the shop

Survey

We walk the site, read the existing drawings and map every interface the new system must meet.

Specify

The architecture, interface schedule and bill of materials are issued for agreement before any hardware is ordered.

Build

Panels are assembled and tested on the bench while cabling routes are prepared and technical drawings progress.

Commission

On site we connect, test and tune the system, then hand over with test sheets and as-built documentation.

Maintain

A maintenance contract keeps the installed system calibrated, documented and reporting for the long term.

Not sure which package you need

Most clients begin with the consultancy, then add panel work, cabling and telemetry as the plan firms up. Tell us what the site must do and we will tell you which of the six packages should carry the load.

Bring existing systems up to standard

If controls, panels and cabling are already in place, we can audit them, close the documentation gaps and place the installation under a maintenance contract so that it stays reliable.
